A little about Music Photography Specialists.

MPSPHOTO was launched in December 2006. Until then we were using the services of one of our other sites to showcase music photos but as we started to shoot more and more music based events we decided that MPS should have its own web presence.

Our sister company Event Photography Specialists - www.epsphoto.co.uk is aimed more at general public events and displays and sells the images online.

Music Photography Specialists DO NOT sell images to the public - You can view the galleries free of charge and if you like, we can make the photos available to you for use on band websites and fans forums such as Myspace.

Our background is firmly grounded in the photography and electronic news gathering. David Purslow our lead photographer and owner of MPSPHOTO has been a professional photographer for over 20 years. His background is Press / Sports / Glamour and Lifestyle photography having been initially trained by the BBC at the BBC ENG Training Centre at Woodnorton in Worcestershire.

One of David's biggest claims to fame is that he was the photographer chosen to photograph Madonnas personal items for the World Trade Center Disaster charity auction held by Sothebys and GottaHaveIt in 2001. - These photos were published worldwide and also featured on the AMC television Network's "Celeb vs Celeb" special.

We use only Canon professional digital cameras and lenses and are members of Canon Professional Services. We can transmit images from concert locations via both PC and Apple laptops so news outlets can receive the photos in seconds.

David says "Gig photography is not a job, its a labour of love - I don't consider myself working when I am photographing a gig. You could never call something you love so much work - its way too much fun for that.

Our company philosophy is simple - To capture the very best photos possible of ANY gig not matter how big or how small - Remember todays new band could be tomorrows U2. That's why we are more than happy to work with new artists, upcoming talent, tribute acts, national and international acts alike.
